REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Serviceable, full-size, semi-automatic handgun.
Red Dot Optics are not mandatory but are STRONGLY preferred and encouraged.
Minimum of 3 pistol magazines with a capacity of NO LESS THAN 15 rounds.
Range belt with at least 2 magazine pouches and a serviceable outside-the-waistband holster
Appendix inside-the-waistband holsters are permitted, but you still must be able to carry extra mags.
Eye and ear protection in good working order.
600 rounds of pistol ammunition (minimum, feel free to bring more if you’d like.)
A good attitude!
SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITED EQUIPMENT
Revolvers of any kind
Any firearms chambered in .22LR
ANY model, SKU, or variant of the Sig Sauer P320 platform of pistols
Holsters made of leather, nylon or any other textile/fabric material
Any holster positioning that is not outside-the-waistband or appendix inside-the-waistband
STUDENT EXPECTATIONS
This is not an entry-level class. To be permitted to participate you must already:
Know how to safely load, unload, reload, and handle your pistol.
Know how to safely clear a malfunction in your pistol.
Have practiced with drawing and reloading your pistol.
Have decent shooting fundamentals.
Be able-bodied and capable of sprinting and intense movement up to 25 meters.
Although you are not required to be excellent, or even “good” at shooting to participate in this class, it is highly recommended that you take our Pistol Fundamentals Class before this one. Equivalent training is accepted on a case-by-case basis, reach out before signing up. Any competitive classification equivalent to or greater than USPSA B-Class is also good-to-go.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
By the end of this class, you should have a better understanding of:
Engaging targets on the move and at speed.
Explosive position exit and entry, and soft position exit and entry.
How to move efficiently and aggressively with your firearm.
Applying different movement techniques on a contextual basis.
Inductive training concepts and identification of specific technique deficiencies in real-time.
Mastery of these components over time will equip you to respond dynamically and at a high level of performance in any context you adapt them to.
